A few months ago, Oracle NetSuite launched SuiteAnalytics Workbook in beta mode and it is expected that the Workbook will be available with 19.1 release. This new feature addition will empower NetSuite ERP users with intuitive, easy to use, and consistent toolset in order to create, analyze, and share business intelligence facts & figures such as reports, charts based on your data. With Workbook, users can investigate and visualize the data natively within the NetSuite environment.
SuiteAnalytics Workbook
SuiteAnalytics Workbook helps to identify inter-dependencies and relationships in your data and helps to measure how changes will affect your business in the near future. For instance, it helps to bring deep insights into your sources and based on that, users can forecast and predict trends to know unexpected gaps or hidden factors. NetSuite Analytics Workbook also empowers users to improve their planning efforts by just identifying data dependencies that may not be seen using higher level reports.
Let’s know more about the Workbook practices with the examples demonstrating analytics task:
What is SuiteAnalytics Workbook and why do we use it?
Workbook can be considered as your main user interface and a data container where users can define and visualize data analytics. This Workbook comprises three main elements such as:
- DataSet Builder
- Pivot Table Creation Tool
- Charting And Visualization
This Workbook allows users to do multi-level of joins of record types even if the user does not have an understanding of deep-data-modeling. Now the question comes ‘ where and how can I enable this feature?’
All you need to enable your SuiteAnalytics Workbook by going through your account under Setup-> Company->Enable feature: Analytics tab, “SuiteAnalytics Workbook”. Once you enable this feature, you need to click on “Analytics” tab on your dashboard in order to create a new Workbook (You can also edit the previously created Workbook using same feature). Now, you can start utilizing the NetSuite Analytics functionality.
In this blog, we covered a brief about SuiteAnalytics Workbook, why we should use it and how to set up or enable the feature to start making use of it. We will continue more information in our next blog.
